its 2:30am and Im still working

Sighs!!!!!.. anyhoo so its no big secret that I am a facebook addict. still trying to ween myself off that darn site. pheww!.. anyhoo so I just got a message from Stella that I was nominated.. well, I kinda suspected that I would be but what I did not expect was being nominated for 2 categories. As always its my pleasure, Not sure if I should say who I would like to win in each category but scrolling down the list my answers popped up right away, as in no compitition in my head as to who my favs are.... ahhhh ans I see a few fellow bloggers.. 3 gbosas to you guys! lol

oh before I post the list just wanted to say, I am off to Texas in a few hrs and I will debut two of the Toni Payne Ice designs at the show and of course I will be rocking my own personalized Toni Payne Ice Tee shirt.. If you like my shirt, errmm the one I am wearing will run you about $240 with discount.. holla at ur girl.. ahhh before I flipping forget.. I have been meaning to share this song with yall.. as in I totally dont wanna hype this guy cos of affiliation but dammit, I cannot help it.. If there is any musician that makes me proud to be Naija, most especialy Yoruba.. its him.. anyhoo here is a download link.. reminds me of Ebenezer Obey, Sunny Ade type of songs with a modern hip hop flare.. he is totally inspiring a proud to be tshirt.. just need to think up an idea that cuts across all markets...the song is by 2phat feat. 9ice.. someone said I need to get his music in the right hands, that he will bring a new flavor to the industry and possible give African hip hop proper unadultrated recognition..had me thinking about Shakira, as in she does her thing in Spanish so why cant naija do theirs in their mother tongue and still be in demand outside of naija, its totally doable... Im totally picturing a collaboration between him and Akon, now that would just be toooo sick as in bloooody! anyhoo before I go on and on and on and on... Here is the song.. Im craving for a concert out here that will feature 9ice, Original Stereoman (ekwe), Danfo Drivers... I love how raw their music is... just lovvve it..

MIA... am kinda back.. runway to a cure in texas

Well, I have been so MIA, phew, the weird part is I really did not feel like blogging. I have been so busy here and there, this and that, and next year will be worse cos Im going to be soo busy planning a big *ehem* in my life.. Gosh, Im itching to tell yall but I hate discussing my too too private affairs.. lol... Lets just say.. errr White!.. lol..

Oh before I forget, if you are in naija, I hosted 2 episodes of Style Agent 101 on Soundcity. If it hasn't aired yet I will find out when so yall can watch it. When you do, dont crucify me o.. lol.. Im usually not that mean. I absolutely love the soundcity crew, like they are soo down to earth, every single one of them, like I did not feel they were being sweet to me because of my wonderful voice or fine face.. hehehehe.. They seemed to just get along with everyone who came round there regardless of who you were..

Which brings me to one topic I wont blog about in detail, PRETENTIOUS PEOPLE.. they irk the daylights out of me. Anyhoo, there is one particular person that irks the bejesus out of me and one of these days, oooo one of these day.. Luckily for him, he knows how I feel about him so he doesnt ta si mi much and thinks I have a very bad mouth because he has been on the receiving end of my tongue lashing several times, lol.. but what amazes me is how many people are like him. Naija pipu sha, they want you to yes sir or yes ma them, I am sure there is a name for it, like I think im hip so I cant flow with my gateman syndrome or something.. they taya me, ok so I have never been on the receiving end of their discrimination but like I always say, if you are friendly with me, thats just fine and dandy but I wont judge you based on how you treat me, I will judge you based on how you treat others.

Anyhoo, I will be in texas this weekend for the Runway to a cure show.. should be fun.. If anyone wants to stop by, Runway To Cure will be held on the 1st of December, at the Milan Pavilion, 6603 Harwin Drive, Houston Texas 77036, from 6:30pm-9:00pm. Anyhoo, hope to see you there, its for a good cause, if you see me holla at me :) I think there will be an after party so that should be fun..

Here is a bit about the event
RUNWAY TO CURE: ONE NIGHT, ONE RUNWAY, FOUR DESIGNERS AND ONE CAUSE
On December 1st, 2007, a date tagged “World AIDS Day”, Tosa Collection will feature four Collections by four talented Designers as they all come together on one runway to fight the AIDS epidemic in Africa.

Osato Ikponmwonba and the creator & designer of Tosa Collection, has pulled support from Toni Payne, Versatile Style and D’ure design, to present to the world on World AIDS Day, the event called “Runway to Cure.”

This events main aim is to educate the public on AIDS in Africa and proceeds from the event will go to ‘Keep A Child Alive’. Keep A Child Alive is an urgent response to the AIDS pandemic ravaging Africa. With more than 28 million orphaned, the disease continues, wiping out whole societies, threatening economic infrastructure and creating tragic family devastation. Keep A Child Alive provides life-saving medication, support and orphan care, to keep these children and families alive.

Keep A Child Alive is supported by celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Iman and Jessica Alba. Runway To Cure put together by Tosa Collection, will be working with other fabulous designers to support the Keep A Child Alive.

This illustrious and dignified event will be entertaining, breath taking fashionably-filled, and for a good cause. With various live performances, a live band, a piece dedicated to Keep A Child Alive, Fashion lines showcase and the debut of the 2008 Tosa Collection Fashion line, this event is worth attending and is sure to create a “buzz” in the city of Houston and all over the world. With various editorials already lined up, this event speaks “Make having a great night out, a step towards a cure.”.
